Congratulations to all four teams that competed in the U15 National Championships last week.
ACM 1 Girls won the National Championships! This team, under the guidance of Angela Perrott-Hunt went unbeaten all year, in Super City, Easter Tournament and Northern Zone Championships. The team breezed their way through the pool section of the draw, coming out on top. The team faced Waikato in the final, with the final score 75 - 55.
Also congratulations to the girls that were named in the Tournament team, Riana Rangi, Theresa Ngata, & Rionne Papa. Riana Rangi was also named the tournament MVP.
ACM 2 Girls had a tougher time in their pool play, losing to Taranaki and then narrowly losing to Otago, 50 - 53. The other two pool play games that team convincingly bet Gisborne & Hutt Valley to finish 3rd in their pool. From here the team went on to finish 10th in the competition, a great result for a mostly bottom age team.
